Purification potential of local media in the pre-treatment of greywater using vertical biofilters under Sahelian conditions
COMPAORE Cheik Omar Tidiane, MAIGA Ynoussa, OUILI S. Amidou, NIKIEMA Mahamadi, OUATTARA Aboubakar Sidiki
Several on-site greywater treatment systems are under development including biofiltration, whose efficiency is influenced by the filter media. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the type of filter media and their grain size in the removal of organic and microbial pollutants from greywater. Hence, three(...)

Can Plasmodium falciparum Induce Homocysteinemia in Malaria Patients?
Noé Yaméogo, Abdoul Karim Ouattara, Bapio Valérie Bazié, Alfred Rakissida Ouédraogo, Florencia Wendkuuni Djigma, Jacques Simporé
Background
Plasmodium falciparum has developed elaborate strategies to survive in the hostile intracellular environment of the infected host cell, including resistance to oxidative stress. Cysteine is a metabolic product of homocysteine and a precursor of the antioxidant glutathione used by Plasmodium falciparum to escape harmful oxidation.(...)

Non-local boundary inclusion problem with L1-data and constant exponent
A. KAboré, S. Ouaro
In this work, we study the following elliptic problem −diva(x,∇u)+β(u)∋f in Ω, with non-local boundary conditions. We prove the existence and uniqueness of entropy solution for L1-data f.

Fertility among better-off women in sub-Saharan Africa: Nearing late transition levels across the region
Jamaica Corker, Clémentine Rossier, Lonkila Moussa Zan
BACKGROUND
While overall fertility across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is still high, fertility rates have
been declining among educated and wealthier women in many countries since the 1970s.
It is not clear whether, five decades later, consistently lower fertility among better-off
women represents a distinct fertility regime among this subpop(...)

Falsifed drugs are of serious concern to public health worldwide, particularly for developing countries where quality control of
drugs is inefficient. In law enforcement against such fake medicines, there is a need to develop reliable, fast, and inexpensive
screening methods. In this work, the ability of an innovative low-cost handheld near-(...)

Local existence and regularity of solutions in alpha-norm for some partial functional integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces
Djendode Mbainadji and Issa Zabsonre
By using the resolvent operator theory in the sense given by Grimmer in [1], we prove the existence and regularity of solutions in α-norm for some partial functional integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces. We firstly show the existence of the mild solutions and give some conditions for the existence of strict solutions.
