Résumé

Despite the significant role of the Commonwealth in promoting education in Ghana and Nigeria, its contribution has not been adequately addressed in the existing literature. The primary goal of this article is to highlight the role of the Commonwealth in advancing education in Ghana and Nigeria. To achieve this, the article will be guided by the following research objectives: First, to highlight the role of the Commonwealth in advancing education in Ghana and Nigeria. Second, to examine the challenges of education in Ghana and Nigeria. Third, to find remedies to salvage the current educational development challenges in Ghana and Nigeria. The article concludes that the actions undertaken by the Commonwealth in collaboration with the governments of these countries have contributed to improving the quality of education but many challenges still remain.
