Une des espèces nouvelles pour la flore du Burkina Faso est systématiquement éliminée par la population locale car ses graines ont un effet de prise de poids exagérée sur les ruminants qui conduit à leur mort. En collaboration avec des collègues spécialisés en Biochimie/Substances Naturelles de l’Université de Dédougou, nous avons pour but d’isoler le ou les molécules responsables de ces effets et d’étudier la perspective de les utiliser pour enrichir le fourrage au Burkina Faso.
