Résumé

Introduction: Kidney transplantation is the best treatment for CKD stage 5. The current context in Burkina Faso only allows for living kidney donation. The main of our study was to investigate the acceptance of the principle and willingness of living kidney donation among relatives of patients undergoing hemodialysis in Burkina Faso.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey from December 7, 2022, to January 20, 2023, among first- and second-degree relatives and spouses of patients undergoing hemodialysis in Burkina Faso. Data were analyzed with STATA software. We performed a simple logistic regression to search for factors associated with the dependent’s variables. The odds ratios (OR) with their 95% confidence intervals were calculated and assessed using the Wald test. The significance threshold was set at 0.20. Significance variables were used for multiple logistic regression by stepby-step ascending. We retained the final model with variables having a p-value
