Résumé

Burkina Faso, a country in the heart of the Sahel, is one of the most vulnerable areas in Africa. 86% of its rural population is engaged in agricultural activities. Its predominantly rural population, with little theoretical and scientific knowledge of climate change, suffers the consequences of this phenomenon, including crop losses, lack of pasture and food shortages. How to make rural agriculture resilient to climate change by taking into account and popularizing the local knowledge of rural people. In this paper we focus on farmers’ perceptions of climate change and strategies for endogenous resilience. We present the architecture of a platform for sharing and co-constructing knowledge on adaptation strategies developed by farmers to face climate risks in Burkina Faso. This architecture is
a semantic wiki based on ontologies that formalize endogenous knowledge on agricultural techniques adapted to climate change.
